On November 30th local time, the 16 box transformers of the Bashi Wind Farm in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, a 1GW wind power project jointly constructed by China Energy Engineering International Group, Zhejiang Thermal Power, China Power Engineering International Corporation, and North China Institute, successfully completed the first batch of wind turbines connected to the grid for power generation, laying a solid foundation for the project to achieve full capacity grid connection and delivery.

Since the start of construction, the project team has worked together with all participating parties to overcome many difficulties and challenges such as complex lifting and installation processes, and difficult construction of power collection lines, and have made every effort to promote the work of all aspects of project construction. To ensure the success of grid connected power generation, the project construction team coordinated and strictly followed the requirements of the established plan, adhered to the principle of "safety first", and made careful arrangements in the formulation of the grid connected plan, process risk pre control, emergency plan drills, and night operation briefings. Eventually, the first batch of wind turbines were successfully connected to the grid for power generation.

The first batch of wind turbines successfully connected to the grid for power generation is one of the important milestone nodes in the performance process. All participating employees of the project department will take this as an opportunity to solidly promote subsequent work, create a model of performance, ensure that the project is put into full capacity production and efficiency as scheduled, and help Uzbekistan's energy structure transformation.

The Bukhara 1GW wind power project in Uzbekistan is the largest single wind power project officially launched in the Central Asian region. It is located in the southern part of the Uzbekistan Stangzylkum Desert and includes two 500MW wind farms, Bashi and Zankerdi. After the project is put into operation, it is expected that the annual power generation will exceed 3.59 billion kilowatt hours, which can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1.6 million tons. It has significant economic and ecological benefits, and is of great significance for promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of Uzbekistan's energy structure and promoting the high-quality development of Uzbekistan's local economy and society.
